Celine & Sacha

We all dream of re-living our wedding day right? That magical day doesn’t just have to live on in your memory, as this couple prove! Celine and Sacha, with the help of a few wonderful suppliers, styled their own perfect vow renewal in Adelaide around 18 months after tying the knot. Full of gorgeous details, these two created a second wedding day just for them in order to celebrate their love and create even more happy memories. Celine got so into the vow renewal planning she started wearing her wedding dress around the house in the lead up!

The couple says of their vendors: “Everyone was outstanding, from hair and makeup, stunning flowers, beautiful decorations, and absolutely incredible photographs and video. Having a wedding planner like Godswood Event Planning to tie it all together, to choose the right suppliers and organise everyone was wonderful. Mandy arranged everything perfectly and created a beautiful vow renewal for us, completely stress free.”

When asked why they chose to do a vow renewal, the couple had this to say: “We believe a wedding doesn’t have to be just a once in a life-time event. We want to celebrate our love anytime we want and this vow renewal allowed it to be just about us and strengthen our commitment to each other.” And if that isn’t a good enough reason, we don’t know what is.

Our fave SA beaches

Whether close to Adelaide or a bit further afield, we’re spoiled for choice here in South Australia! Here, we take you through our pick of 5 wedding-ready SA beaches that are at the top of our list. Don’t forget to check permit and other requirements with the relevant council before sending out your Save the Dates!

Western River Cove, Kangaroo Island
Kangaroo Island Beach wedding

Kangaroo Island boasts some of the world’s most pristine beaches but perhaps one of the Island’s best kept secrets is Western River Cove. Nestled in a beautiful valley with its surrounding rolling hills, the fine white sands of the beach reflect the vibrant colour of the water in its sheltered cove. Did someone say destination wedding?!

Long Beach, Limestone Coast

Long Beach RobeIf 12 kilometres of un-spoilt beach is your idea of heaven, look no further than Long Beach near Robe on the Limestone Coast. Take your pick of locations, just take extra care as Long Beach is accessible by vehicle. This might increase your options for transport to your ceremony though…

Henley Beach, Adelaide

Henley Beach
If you’re not keen to travel, pop on over to Henley for a seaside ceremony that is sure to delight. Close to lots of excellent reception options, we love Henley for its relaxed vibe, great foreshore and revamped jetty for some cute photo options.

Horseshoe Bay, Fleurieu Peninsula
Horseshoe Bay, Port Elliot

Ohhh Port Elliot. Home of stunning Horseshoe Bay, breathtaking sea views and some of the best doughnuts known to man (you know where we’re talking about). Friends and family will love the chance to get away for the weekend to this laid-back coastal region, and we think your photos will come up a treat.

Port Willunga, Fleurieu Peninsula

Port Willunga Old Jetty
Possibly our favourite left till last, Port Willunga is a classic beach ceremony location for a reason! Several, actually. The rustic remnants of the old jetty as a backdrop, so close to Adelaide and at the gateway to a region full of beautiful South Australian food and wine, Port Willunga is everything we love about a beachside ceremony and more.

Nicole & Josh

Four years after being seated next to each other at a the wedding of mutual friends, Nicole and Josh tied the knot in a stunningly simple outdoor wedding in McLaren Vale. Making the most of the beautiful natural surrounds and their love of the outdoors, Nicole and Josh’s wedding photos reflect a fun and relaxed day that incorporated little touches unique to them.

Gorgeous pup Lilah nailed the ring bearer duties, and luckily someone had a pair of scissors handy when the double knot attaching the ring bag to her collar couldn’t be untied!

Guests raved about the food, wine and beer from Ekhidna Wines, and were gifted the couple’s favourite treat of Fruchocs as a special bonbonerie. Scroll on for all the amazing photos from Kerry Rose Photography, and details of Nicole and Josh’s dream team of vendors who made their day truly wonderful and stress free!
