Thanks to plenty of checklists, super organised bride Adrianna was focused on trusting her instincts in making it all come together.

It all began for these two newly-weds the many a South Australian couple have met in the past – at a festival of course! Schutzenfest in 2011 to be exact.

Some years past and the week before the proposal, they decided to adopt a little boxer puppy by the name of Murphy.  ‘On the Friday night before Aaron proposed he got home later than me and was acting a little strange. I had no idea what was in store! I now know he had just picked up my ring that day and had called my parents to get the all clear just before coming home. It wasn’t until I saw him carrying flowers and him coming outside with Murphy, who had the jewellery bag tied around his little neck, that I realised what was going on! I was totally shocked!’  A puppy AND a ring?!  Now that’s an engagement goal and a half!

When it came to inspiration, Adrianna (aka Frenchie. All is clear in the photos!) sourced most of her ideas from pinterest & magazines but was mindful of not going too OTT . ‘I loved the metallic look and a lot of the posts I saw online incorporated metallics so we went with splashes of gold, silver and copper with neutrals- black, white, wood and marble touches. I wanted to keep it simple but elegant and our reception location is so beautiful I also didn’t want to overdo the decorations.’

Favourite moments?  ‘We would have to say being announced and making our entrance into the reception was a highlight. It was a lot of fun – we had the girls enter together to “where them girls at” by David Guetta and the boys entered together to the “Ghostbusters” theme song. Then Aaron and I had a mash-up created by our DJ of “single Ladies” – Beyonce, “lets get married” – jagged edge and “this is how we do it”-by Montell Jordan. It was lighthearted and we think it set the tone of the night to show the formalities of the ceremony were over.’

This definitely sounds like our kind of celebration and the photos by Dave Pascoe are proof.
