Having both attended so many weddings of their friends and families, Kylie and Sam both knew what they wanted and what they didn’t want for their special day.

Although Kylie waited patiently for a whole 7 years for Sam to propose, it was definitely worth the wait when it eventually happened. ‘Sam had been chatting to my co-workers and organised for them and the children at my Kindergarten to help him the biggest question of his life. He arranged for the children to hold up letters that spelled out “Will You Marry Me?” ‘ Kylie said.  Inspired by the film Kindergarten Cop maybe?!

As they had both grown up near to water they wanted to incorporate water into their day which is why they choose to get married overlooking the beach at Horseshoe Bay.  This was followed by a WEDFEST complete with a late night toastie and yiros station – these guys definitely know how to look after their guests!

The detail didn’t stop there either as they both arranged some very special bespoke gifts for each other. ‘Sam had planned a gift to give me on the day which was a hand-painted black leather jacket from a friend that had “wifey” on the back. It was perfect as it ended up getting quite cold by the evening. I arranged for Sam to open his the morning of the wedding which included a handwritten card and Lego kombi van and engraved guitar pick.’

For these guys getting married is about more than a celebration of love. ‘For us it means making a commitment to the one I love and knowing that whatever life throws at us that we are a team and we will get through it together. BOOM!’
