Breaking away from tradition and removing all the fuss and frou-frou was the approach Perea and Leigh took to planning their wedding in McLaren Vale last year.

Having been together for a while and in the knowledge that they wanted to be together forever, they  skipped formally becoming engaged by launching straight into their big day plans instead.  ‘Before starting a family we had discussed our long-term future together and knew that we would get married one day so we decided to make the plans instead of talking about it!’ mentions Perea.

In another break with tradition and to acknowledge the special connection they have with their 2-year-old son (who is so darn cute he almost steals the limelight!) they also made the decision to arrive at their wedding together and walked down the aisle hand-in-hand.

Thanks to their talented bridesmaids and a clever friend, both their flowers and cake were covered however they did enlist a number of vendors including photographers Fiona and Wesley from Two Tell a Tale to pull together the day they wanted which focused firmly on good food, wine and friends.
